Charles Brooking's Unique Collection of Windows at VILLUM Window Collection
Wall of Windows presents highlights from Charles Brooking's comprehensive window archives. For the next two years, the collection will be displayed at VILLUM Window Collection, where Rosan Bosch Studio has added a new exhibition area.
The window wall is constructed by historical windows from the UK ranging from flat-framed casements from the 17th century to cross-section of sash windows' technical details. With attention to characteristic craft, Charles Brooking's window wall adds a new and exciting angle to the historical collection of VILLUM Window Collection.
Wall of Windows was exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2014 as part of Rem Koolhaas’ analytical approach to architecture. In our adaptation, we have brought forward the exhibition podiums, adapted the wall design to the oblong space and created depth with lighting.
