Grand Opening of Glasir’s Interdisciplinary Learning Space

In BIG's whirlwind architecture, we have designed an innovative learning environment that will shape future generations at the Faroe Islands.

With a vertical campus, our special design and furnishing for Glasir – Tórshavn College brings together the six specialized floors, so interdisciplinary encounters are an essential part of the student’s experience. In the central venues, we have created open meeting spots – while space typologies support differentiated learning situations throughout the school.

Our strategic interior design empowers students and teachers to think differently about learning. We invite them to leave behind old habits and instead let communal exercises and learning needs lead the way for a new school culture.

Glasir – Tórshavn College brings together 1500 students from 6th form, vocational and higher education. The opening was attended by 3,500.
