Framing Children’s Growth at St. Andrew’s Scots School
The older you grow at St. Andrew’s Scots School, the more independence you gain. In the new learning landscapes for the Argentinian IB school, student agency is at the heart of the design. From kindergarten to primary school, we have created a learning environment that gradually expands the students’ territory, giving them autonomy and possibilities on their learning journeys.
The design activates the school’s Scottish heritage by integrating iconic landmarks through compelling storytelling. Drawing inspiration from the highlands and lowlands of Scotland, the design presents iconic landscapes with basalt columns, beaches, underwater plants, a Lock Ness theatre and exhibition forests.
Set in Argentina, a lot of the designs have been customized specifically for the newly built campus. The flexible design creates a playful environment that stimulates the students’ imagination.
In the new learning environment at St. Andrew’s Scots School, the students are encouraged to explore and learn how to learn independently. The design gives the school a unique identity and fosters the development of 21st Century Skills.
