The Faroese National Hospital at the Conference on Hospitals of the Future
Well-being and safety are the superior goals for the new extension of the National Hospital of the Faroe Islands opening in 2021. We have been involved since the project start-up in 2015 as interior designers and advisors for the more than 10,000 m2 vast expansion of the existing hospital building.
The extensive construction project is on the program at Nohrcon – Conference on Hospitals of the Future, where former project manager at the hospital, Jan á Argjaboða, presents the project's innovative design and solutions for hospital functions.
As a new approach, the hospital integrates psychiatry and somatic and creates better conditions for psychiatric patients. In our interior design, we have worked with a humanly and welcoming design that balances safety, hygiene and flexible solutions with the patients' need for safe and homely settings.
Nohrcon takes place from May 7-9 in Copenhagen.
