Reconstructions and authentic artifacts tell the story of V. Kann Rasmussen and his lifework VKR Holding. With an organic exhibition design for the KR Exhibition, we commemorate the inventive Danish entrepreneur and originator of the VELUX windows.

Based on a grand compass, the exhibition points out thematic areas that depict KR: 'The Engineer', 'The Inventor', 'The Industrialist' and 'The Philanthropist'.

The visitors step directly into a reconstruction of KR’s office – fully equipped with ashtrays, paperwork, and pens preserved as if KR had stepped next door.

Focusing on engaging experiences, we have staged a futuristic space design that will ensure that VKR Holdings' employees, collaborators, and stakeholders in the future can access the story of KR and his legacy, VKR Holding.

Among the artifacts are prototypes of pipe tampers, golf carts, the Aromatic coffee machine, a customized toilet seat, and – of course – the VELUX skylight windows, which are some of KR's many ingenious inventions.

The design strategy put the narrative of KR into play through variated spatialities. With elements from his work and workplace, the visitors will experience and learn new aspects of VKR Holding and its mission.
