Change Processes for School Communities

Rosan Bosch Studio practices holistic educational environment design. The studio works with both the design of physical spaces, and also the guidance of teachers in the change process of adapting to new spaces. We provide a support process for educational communities who are looking to transform their existing institutions or introduce new facilities.

As part of our services, we help teachers transition to their new spaces with the help of educational specialists such as Escuela21.

A Rosan Bosch project will introduce new types of learning spaces. These spaces welcome new practices, new ways of working, or new organization of schools. That is why Rosan Bosch Studio is focused on the design of the spaces as much as on the support of teachers and school communities through pedagogical/spatial transitions.

An international team of experts in educational design and development, with experience working on some of the most innovative schools in the world, will design and carry out a unique process for each school, in which physical settings, pedagogical methodologies and organizational principles are aligned and based on the educational vision of the school.

Our partnership with Escuela21

Rosan Bosch Studio works in partnership with internationally recognized pedagogical experts, such as Escuela 21. Lead by pedagogical expert Alfredo Hernando Calvo, Escuela21 is a knowledge platform which consults innovative education projects around the world. This partnership contributes years of experience involving community participatory processes and change processes. The knowledge available on decades of projects with innovational schools globally, makes Escuela21 an asset to our clients.

Together, Rosan Bosch Studio and Escuela21 are committed to support education initiatives that seek both spatial and pedagogical change in expansion of their curriculum. Our collaboration helps clients develop spaces along with change processes that will encourage and stimulate the school communities corresponding to those spaces, and thus ensuring the success of the project.

The process

We collaborate in the development of a process for schools that encompasses the transformation of physical spaces and the organizational aspects of the school. This holistic approach is based on a strong understanding of the school's identity and values, as well as its educational vision. The process can take place in a week, a month, or a year, depending on the needs of the educational community.

The process will provide inspiring workshops, hands-on activities and digital tools for teachers, students and families. In the process, we analyse the school and provide a clearly visualized Road Map for pedagogical and organizational development, as well as an inspiring Concept Design for the new spaces. We then develop the designs while we accompany the educational and organizational transformation process, led by Escuela21. When the new spaces are implemented, we use the spaces and learning practices intertwined with activities, guidance and continuous online support to facilitate an effective school transformation.

The process will generate a valuable conversation in the educational community, about how we learn best and how we will learn in the future. When a community engages Rosan Bosch Studio and Escuela21, we start a meaningful conversation on pedagogical intentions, innovative ways of organizing communities, and spaces for creativity and resilience.
